Great wineries.  I love wine too. Have been to all of those places and more. Can't wait to go to New Zealand at the end of 2009.  Germany and Hungary are 2010.

My wife and I used to live in Napa(we now live in Texas). Of the Napa wineries these are my favorites.

Join the club and get invited to the parties. Best cheeses ever. Great art in the galleries.

  • Hess

Love the art displays.

  • Duckhorn

Try the Vermouth on ice.

The best place I ever had a bottle or 2 or 3 or..., well you get the idea, was in a little town in Germany along the rhine river, called St. Goar.  There was a small regional winery their that supplied wine only to the locals.  It was called Lorali Wine.  Great stuff.

I have also had some very good wine in Crevodosola, Itialy and Fully, Switzerland.

I did have some wine in Chamonix, France which was a major mistake because we had just come down from Mont Blanc an elevation of 15,781 feet and I was suffering from a mild case of altitude sickness.  It was not pretty.  I remember the wine tasting good on the way down, not so much on it's return trip.
